About Us

Devonport Peninsula Precincts Society came together from an organised and realistic group of over 400 mainly local people. The Society’s mission is to ensure the Devonport Peninsula environment meets the highest possible criteria for design, sustainability and amenity for those who live and work in the area.

The group  formed in 2016 to coordinate the broad community concern around plans for a large retirement facility off Ngātaringa Road on the first of  six Devonport Peninsula ‘precincts’ identified by Auckland Council for development. The Society takes a broad view on issues relating to the Devonport Peninsula and its adjacent environments.

The Society’s vision is creating the best possible environment for the Devonport Peninsula.
